We teach that the Bible is the supreme and final authority in faith and life. Therefore our doctrine and teaching is directly from the Bible.
We teach that the Bible is God's Word to mankind. Both the Old and New Testaments are inspired and inerrant in the original writing. They were written by men through the supernatural direction of the Holy Spirit.
We teach that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We teach that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. While he has eternally existed, He came to this earth born of Mary, a virgin, through the Holy Spirit. He lived a perfect life and willingly died as a substitute for sin. He died on a cross and was buried in a grave, yet rose again in victory over sin, death, and Hell. He alone could accomplish this as He is fully God and fully man.
The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with God the Father and God the Son. He convicts the world of sin and makes us aware of our need for Jesus. He was sent by Jesus Christ to indwell every follower of Jesus and guide them into all Truth. He provides guidance for life, understanding of Scripture, and power against sin.
We teach that man was created in the image of God originally designed for relationship with God and reflection of God to the rest of creation. However man sinned and thereby destroyed that perfect relationship and reflection bringing not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. As a result all humans are born with a sinful nature choosing to rebellion against God and unable to restore our relationship with God on our own.
Salvation is a free gift from God only available by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We teach that the Lord Jesus Christ left heaven with the Father and took on a human body, lived a perfect life, and died for our sins as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice for sin. The Bible teaches that all who repent of their sin and place their full trust in His finished work on their behalf are justified on the basis of His shed blood and are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
The Bible teaches that Heaven and Hell are real places and that all of mankind will spend eternity in one of them. Hell is a place separated from God of everlasting torment and Heaven is a place of everlasting peace in the presence of God. The only determining factor for your eternal destination is faith in Jesus Christ. Heaven is reserved for those who have placed their full hope and trust in Jesus Christ through repentance.
After Jesus Christ died and was buried, He victoriously rose again proving His power over sin, death, and hell. It is this historical event that proves that His sacrifice for sin as the only acceptable substitute by God. Our faith that our sins are forgiven and our hope of future resurrection is built on this event. Jesus' resurrection proves that we too will be resurrected to dwell with Christ forever.
The church is unique spiritual organism established by Jesus. The Bible teaches that everyone who repents of their sin and trusts in Jesus alone for salvation is a part of the body & bride of Christ, the Church. Jesus is the Head of Church and has entrusted churches, local assemblies, with the responsibility of recognizing and establishing followers of Jesus. Local churches do this through observing 2 ordinances: Baptism and Communion. The local church is responsible for recognizing and growing to maturity followers of Jesus, and believers are responsible to participate in that process through mutual accountability and submission to church leadership.
